The 2009-2010 San Antonio Diablos hockey season has come to an end. The Diablos traveled to El Paso, TX to take on the El Paso Rhinos in the first round of the playoffs. In game one the Rhinos offensive attack was too much for the young Diablos team finding them selves trailing 2-0 after one period, allowing 2 goals on 14 shots. In the second period El Paso tallied two shorthanded goals taking a controlling 4-0 lead until Ryan Pittman of the Diablos scored a short handed goal of his own with just 40 seconds to go in the second period cutting the Rhinos lead to just 3 with 20 minutes to play. It took El Paso only 43 seconds into the final frame to regain a 4-goal lead that, the Rhinos chased Diablos goalie from the game with their 6^th goal of the game just 3 minutes later. El Paso capped the scoring and secured a 1-0 lead in the best of the three series with a power play goal at the 4:43 mark of the third. On Saturday night with nothing to loose the Diablos came out skating hard and physical controlling parts of the game with offensive opportunities

The San Antonio Diablos dropped their final 3 games of the regular season to the Boulder Bison this past weekend. On Friday night the Diablos and the Bison skated to a 0-0 tie through two periods of play but the Bison found the net 3:26 into the final frame that saw 5 goals in under 7:00 minutes of play. Ryan Pittman got the Diablos even

The San Antonio Diablos drop 3 to the Boulder Bison this past weekend in Superior, CO. Friday nights contest saw Diablos net minder Cody Davis turn away 40 of 43 shots against. Trailing by 3 goals late in the game the Diablos managed to score 2 power play goals in 45 seconds. One 5 on 3 and the other 5 on 4. With the extra attacker on the Diablos managed a few quality opportunities but were unable to even the score resulting in a 3-2 loss. Saturday night
